Rally Scotland has revealed its new logo and event identity as preparations gather pace for the FIA World Rally Championship’s return to the UK in 2027.
The new identity brings together two things that will define the event: Scotland and gravel rallying.
At its centre is a graphic device inspired by the Scottish Saltire and the tread pattern of a World Rally Car tyre. The wider visual system uses blue, white and purple, with further applications drawing on Scottish references including the thistle.
The identity will now begin appearing across Rally Scotland’s website and social channels, before being rolled out across event signage, merchandise, broadcast graphics, fan zones, volunteer materials and partner activity.
Hugh Chambers, CEO of Motorsport UK, the organisation behind Rally Scotland, said:
“Today’s reveal of the new Rally Scotland logo and identity is another important step as we build towards 2027. The event now has a clear mark of its own: a stylised Saltire, shaped from the imprint of a rally car tyre and placed at the heart of the brand’s new identity.
“It gives Rally Scotland a look that feels rooted in the country, connected to the sport and ready for a major global event.”
Rally Scotland will bring the World Rally Championship back to Britain for the first time since 2019 and will be the first full WRC round staged in Scotland.
The rally will be headquartered at The Event Complex Aberdeen, with Rally HQ and the Service Park based at the venue. Competition will take place on closed forest gravel roads across north-east Scotland.
Those roads have already drawn praise from leading WRC crews. Elfyn Evans and Jon Armstrong were among the drivers to sample the region’s fast, flowing stages during the Voly Grampian Forest Rally in August, giving teams an early taste of the terrain they will face in 2027.
The logo reveal marks the next visible step in building Rally Scotland towards its WRC debut.
Further details on the route, dates, tickets, volunteer opportunities and fan plans will be announced in the coming months.
